Crufts - a dream became true !
Crufts show concept for me expresses a synonym for tradition, show dog breeders skill and beauty. I dreamed that I have to experience this exhibition personally. Seeing the oldest exhibition in the world, to meet personally famous breeder and of course enjoy the beauty of the best dogs in the background of the famous "green carpets".My dream of participating in the "Crufts" I managed to realize this year. After a successful qualifying at the International Dog Show in Bratislava, I also entered my seventeen months fox terrier smooth Latonia Tuskulum (homely called TINA) Class "Junior".

Our kennel always has bred in mother line breeding. In this short description You can see, how we have worked in few last years. There ara 3 Tuskulum generations of mothers.
80th Anniversary of the Czech Fox Terrier Club (published in The Year Book 2008 of The FTC)
Allow me to introduce you to our Club in this short historical hindsight. During 2008, the Czech Fox Terrier Club celebrated its’ 80th Anniversary. It all startwed when our first Fox Terriers were imported into the Austrian-Hungary monarchy in the second part of the 19th century. Two national associations for hunting dogs were formed in 1880 and 1883. By 1924 Fox Terriers were part and parcel of the Czech Terrier Club. In 1925 the “Earth Dog” club was founded and this was followed by the formation of a further club in 1928----the Czech Fox Terrier Club. At this time there were over 1,000 puppies yearly being produced, mainly Wires. Therefore three clubs existed which were interested in fox terrier breeding. In 1941 the other two clubs joined forces with the Czech Fox Terrier Club, the first President of which was Emanuel Liby. During the early years the most active kennels were PERUN, JANOVA HORA, HELMEC and IRIS owned by Dr Fencik Mukacevo, Frantisek Jandik, Karel Roman and Ing Petak respectively. The first show for Fox Terriers was held at the Moravian Dog Show in 1924 where the well known German Pointer breede Karel Podhajsky officiated. The first great International succcess came with the dog Firefield Povam who won at the International Show in Leipzig.
Glendraterra & Glenpower Smooth Fox Terriers
Born in the north of England, in the Lake District in fact, my first dog was a Smooth Fox Terrier crossed with a Lakeland Terrier, a dog that was very much a Smooth in appearance but was the colour of a Lakeland. It was not however until I started work in the 1970s that I bought my foundation Smooth Fox Terrier bitch from the Sufredon kennels of Mrs Sue Laws. She was shown mainly at Open shows and then mated to Pauline Fox’s Ch Gavingale Joshua and it is from this first mating that everything at this kennel is bred down.

When I was a child I had a spitz but when we moved to Helsinki I couldn't keep it. It took for eleven years until I convinced my father to allow me to have a new dog. So in 1975 I bought my first boxer. I was certain that I wanted a boxer because it looked so symphatic and sporty. At that time Anne was my girlfriend and she was horrified for my selection of breed - though very soon she was really into them and three years later she got one of her own.
